This piece falls somewhere between a vase and a basket. The hand-built ceramic vase was created first, including a row of holes around the top opening. I then added twine for the vertical weft, then wove the fan-shaped “basket” with hand-spun brown and white art yarn. This piece could be used to hold objects, like dried flowers — or it could be displayed as a sculpture.
