This piece has a ceramic base created with two overlapping glazes, resulting an unexpected (but pretty) finish. The base has a woven skirt of hand-spun yarn around the bottom, and a matching stripe near the top. Paper twine was used for the structure of the weaving and the fringe coming out of the top.
