As much as I love color, I enjoyed working with a palette of neutrals for this piece. The round ceramic base is a warm beige, and the warp is made of sea grass rope. I spun several different combinations of neutral yarns including wool, bamboo, and silk for the woven structure. The ceramic tiles are brown with a touch of sage green, embellished with a bit of gray wool roving and hemp.
